The Overlook Trail starts at the top of the Town of Dubois Recreation Area Scenic Overlook at the end of McKinley Drive. From the east end of town drive west from the main corner 1.2 miles and look for the large sign for the Scenic Overlook on the right side of the road, Turn right and follow Mckinley drive to the top the trailhead starts on the west side of the overlook. Arriving in Dubois from the east drive about .7 miles past the super eight and look for the large sign for the Scenic Overlook on the left side of the road, turn left and follow Mckinley drive to the top the trailhead starts on the west side of the overlook.
Deception Creek/Falls Campground Winter Trail! From Downtown Dubois, head west on Highway 26/287. Look for mile marker 30.5 on the left, just past Brooks Lake and the Falls Campground road.) From Jackson Town Square, drive north on Hwy 89/191 to Moran Junction. Turn right onto Hwy 287 and continue east over the summit of Togwotee until mile marker 30.5. Deception Creek Trailhead has a dedicated parking lot on Hwy 287. There is signage at the kiosk and there are trail maps at multiple locations along the route. Approximately 6 miles of trail are groomed through the winter season by DART. This is considered a multi-use area and is open to XC Skiing, Snowshoeing and Fat Tire Bikes! (No Motorized)
